THEBASICS
hey, i'm DAKOTA LYNN JOHNSON but you can call me DAKOTA or DAKO. i'm SIXTEEN years old, and still aging. people say that i'm SINGLE but i will be looking out for those GUYS. some say that i look like WILLA HOLLAND but i don't think so. i run this world with the CIRCE FLOCK, as a BIRD-KID LEADER with the power of EMOTION ALTERATION.
THEAPPEARANCE
Dakota's appearance makes her an easy foe to underestimate. Standing at only five foot five, though this would be an inch over the average height for her age, her small build makes her look much more doll-like than somebody who could be a formidable opponent in battle. Many would say that this would be one of her major advantages, but Dakota finds it a minor disadvantage. Though her lower center of gravity makes it easy for her to manuever and slip through spaces most wouldn't imagine being able to accomplish, the small build, only weighing about sixty-five pounds, is easy to use against the small frame of this particular girl, if not for another major part of her appearance.
This major part is her tawny wings. Stretching a span of about thirteen feet, bristling with darker shades of brown and black, looking much like something you'd find attached to a hawk instead of this small girl. This color seemed to have spread to more than her wings, her hair taking on the golden tones found in the wings of a hawk. Her green grey eyes are always focused, searching for a threat, flitting around and taking in her surroundings in a simple flash. It would seem that nothing could get past her hawk, pardon the irony, gaze. Some would find this expression odd to find on this petite figure but it's not the first. Her lips seem to always be set in a grim line, or a half-witted smirk like she just something clever. She probably did.
Other than that, she's a fairly average girl. Long golden dirty-blonde hair, fair skin, and a smart attitude make her a normal teenage girl. She does, however, dress rather simply. A tank top or tee-shirt would adorn her torso, finishing up with a pair of jeans or cords. She doesn't much like the flashy clothes, but sometimes she can't afford to try and find a store that sells cheap. She once owned a dress, but that easily was thrown away in the fact that she has to fly on the instant. If she does every wear a dress or skirt, it has a pair of jeans beneath it, and these times are rare. So, maybe not a typical teenager, but more of a tomboy. Either way, she's somebody that you can see one instant and she just blends in with the crowd.
THEPERSONA
Dakota is an especially hard person to describe. Most would probably think it cliche to say that it would depend on the day that you ran into her, but truth be told it really does matter with somebody like this Johnson character. Her mood swings could be described as bipolar, but quite frankly her largest attribute is that she doesn't give a care about what other people think of her. You could call her the worst names in the book, stab her in the back, and the worst you'd get from her is maybe a dagger thrown at the wood behind you head and a dark threat. Many would think that Dakota is actually rather protective over this subject, but she really isn't.
This fact is brought along that she always follows through. She will not give up on a project once she starts it. A threat unfollowed through doesn't do anything for your respect, so hence Dakota wouldn't want to try and make somebody not respect her. Her sardonic attitude wasn't one to be taken lightly, and that she was quite a sadist at times didn't make it any better. It was said that Dakota used to fight people to spite them, but this is typically a lie. Though she holds the air of somebody who would show you who's boss quickly, the most damage she would ever do if not in a fight would be a quick arm twist behind your back with the other on their face in the dirt. The last thing you want to judge Dakota would be her innocent looks and size.
Something less apparent, however, is Dakota ability to actually care about somebody. She had been raised to not care about others, since that could easily be used against you, but there is a side that is a bit rebellious of this rule. If you can gain the trust of this contemptuous girl, she's a very loyal companion. This would be the one big thing that makes her a good flock leader. If something happened to somebody that she cared about, she would stop at nothing until she knew that they were safe, even if it meant risking her own life. Living as a bird-kid was a risk everyday, it doesn't seem much to leave on the line. She would challenge people she knows that she'd lose against, anything she could to make sure they were alright.
She is against love, in the fact that other than loyalty to her friends, she could be said to be 'scared' to take anymore chances with love at all. When confronted about it, she shuts it down quickly, and tends to be much bitter around that person for a time being. She's rather defendant against that subject because of her past, but she has sworn on her life that she wouldn't let a relationship get in the way of her life, even if it meant killing a person that was getting to close to her. She hasn't had to do this yet, but you can tell that she would be prepared to do so if it meant protection to herself and the few people who could get close to her. All and all, Dakota's a walking contradiction that shouldn't be messed with in you're not prepared for the worse.

THEHISTORY
Dakota was borne onto her family as a miracle child. A special Lab, which said that they were with government officials, had offered them a large sum of money in order to do a few tests on some of the newer embryos to tell the parents exactly what the child was going to look like. The family, which was struggling with money at the moment, agreed almost instantaneously. Throughout the first few months, tests were ran, needles injected, and progress was watched with careful eyes. The doctors in question, of course, told the family the basics, showed pictures, and did everything to make the parents happy with this experiment.
Something they didn’t tell them though, was that their child was going to be born with wings. By the time Dakota turned six, she had a rather strong dislike of her parents. When the White Coats came to pick her up, her parents called them Doctors, she went with them rather obediently, only causing trouble when she dropped her bags and made them slow down to help her pick them up. Other than that, the progress was quick and Dakota sat in the back seat, turned around to watch the ever fading scene of the house that held many good and bad memories. It wasn’t part of her any more.
Life sucks. Then you die. That was how Dakota’s life outlook came as she got older. From six to ten, she had been put through different tests and injections, several operations. She was inserted in classes with Erasers for fighting styles, in which, surprisingly, her dance and gymnastics classes took a big toll in. Again, she quickly became adapted to life on the Lab’s courts. She didn’t have many friends; she wasn’t supposed to have any. She listened to what they said; she was left alone for the time being. Everybody wins.
Then, at the age of fourteen nearing fifteen, Dakota heard of a Flock of bird-kids up north in the New York area. Of course, this wasn’t street knowledge, she still raided the Lab every once in the while for information. So, with that in mind, she left to the New York area, while she flew around to track down this Flock before the Erasers tracked them down. This has taken about a year, and Dakota still has not found them, but this leaves us at the present time in which she now belongs too.
